Do young children need mobile phones

Introduction- Mobile phones are used by people from all around the world it’s a way for people to communicate with each other via text or calling. Depending on the value of the phone if you have a ‘good quality’ phone you would have better applications.

The bad thing about young children having mobile phones is they are an easy target to get robbed. This could also cause bullying for e.g. children could call each other names for the kind of mobile phones they have, However some parents may want their children to have the new technology out as they would like their children to come across as spoilt to friends etc.

Children between ages of 5-11
Children the age of 5 don’t really need a phone because they spend half of the day in school and if they have any kind of emergency they could get the school to contact their parents or guardian. However a child the age of 11 may need a phone as their parents or guardian might let the child go to school alone so they would need the phone just incase something happens and just to make sure that their child is safe.

Children between ages of 11-16
Children the age of 11-16 do need a phone because they would be starting high school and their parents or guardian would need to contact them for health and safety reasons, as they are in a big school and also they might travel alone to school and have no supervision.

Facts
Young children seem to want phones because they may have seen their friends or other person the thing is children would just want to fit in with people and be more like them so they don’t get called names or get bullied for being different and not having certain things.
